
News - Aquatabs supports UNICEF World Record attempt

Wexford, Ireland, July 19th 2009: Medentech are delighted to announce the donation of Aquatabs water purification tablets to UNICEF in support of their Guinness Book of Record attempt at beating the current High 5 world record. For every High 5 achieved, 1,000 litres of safe water will be donated by Medentech to UNICEF for the developing world.
UNICEF are targeting to beat the current record of 3,500 High 5’s to achieve 5,000 High 5’s over a 24 hour period. Michael Gately, Head of Sales and Marketing, Medentech, says “This is a fun way of raising the profile of UNICEF and the fantastic work that they do whilst also raising much needed funds for their organization. We are delighted to donate Aquatabs water purification tablets and have no doubt that we will be handing over the 5 million litres of safe water pledged when they achieve their Guinness Book of Record attempt of 5,000 High 5’s”.
The official record attempt will take place from 1pm on Saturday 29th August as part of the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Festival of World Cultures, an annual international arts festival that celebrates cultural diversity.
